Livorno
is located at a distance of 20 km from Pisa International Airport (direct
flights with Air Dolomite and Nouvelles Frontières from Paris), and from
Pisa Railway Station (night train from Paris). Florence is situated at 100 km
(also direct flights with several companies and night train from Paris). Participants
coming from the U.S.A. or Israel can arrive at Rome International Airport and
then continue by train (Stazione Termini : there is a shuttle from the
airport) directly to Livorno (less than 3 hours travelling).
You
are expected to arrive for the latest on saturday evening, september 9. Accomodation
is provided for the participants who would like to arrive before Shabbat. Kosher
meals are also provided by the Jewish Community during Shabbat and on the
conference days.
Please
decide the dates of your stay in Livorno, and communicate them to Mr. Bedarida
before July 15. Afterwards, the offices of the Jewish Community of Livorno will
not be permanently open due to summer holidays.
Last
but not least :
It
is necessary to send me a short abstract (10-15 lines) of your paper : I
shall translate the english and french abstracts into italian. They are meant
to give some synthetic information to the audience and to the media.
